Indian Railways to introduce Tejas Express between Mumbai and Goa
The Indian Railway will unveil a new train called
the Tejas Express between Mumbai and Goa in June . The
new train will have state of the art facilities including on-board Wi-Fi,
celebrity chefs for kitchan and automatic doors. The 20-coach train will also have secured
gangways for all coaches, a first for the Indian Railways.
After its debut on the Mumbai to Goa
route Tejas Express is expected to be introduced on the Delhi-Chandigarh
section. The train will have tea and coffee vending machines, magazines and
snack tables, a senior Railway Ministry official told the news agency. There
will also be water-level indicators in toilets sensorised taps and
hand driers.
The train interior colour scheme
will match the exterior, and passengers will also be able to fulfil their
entertainment needs through LCD screens. These screens will disseminate
passenger-related information and safety instructions as well.
